The budget for Cinderella was $2.9 million and the estimated profit was $263.6 million. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards, as best sound, best music, and best song. However, sadly the film didn’t win any of them.
Cinderella is one of the most famous princess as well as preferred ones among girls of the world. The story and the teachings of it are really inspiring and motivational. It also has 2 sequels, Cinderella 2: Dream Come True, and Cinderella 3: a Twist in Time.
The film tells the story of Cinderella a young girl who lost her parents and was adopted by her mean and cruel stepmother Lady Tremaine. She treated Cinderella as a servant, giving her lots of chores and tasks to be performed in the house.
With Lady Tremaine and her two daughters Drizella and Anastasia (stepsisters of Cinderella) make her life a hell. Despite how she was treated and the increasing envy and jealousness of her stepsisters, Cinderella was really kind and humble.
Secluded from the world, Cinderella only had animals as friends which included Jaq, Gus, Suzy, and Perla who were mice and some birds. Friends that, during the film sing and help to Cinderella.
The king of the city was concerned because his son, the prince (Henry) didn’t have a wife, so he prepared a ball for the most important people in the city in order for his son to select a girl he would like to marry.
After many problems with her stepmother and stepsisters, Cinderella meets her fairy stepmother who makes her a beautiful dress and an enchant that gave her the opportunity to go to the ball until 12 of midnight.
In the ball, the spell breaks at 12 and she goes away. The Prince Henry didn’t have time to ask for her name or address, the only thing that she left behind was her crystal slipper.
With it, the prince starts his searching to finally find Cinderella and put the crystal slipper back in her foot.
The movie gives a teaching of humbleness and kindness and the values of it; Cinderella was humble and kind after all she went through and she never gave up on his dream.
